5 must-watch moments from The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 4

Another week, another set of doings in The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 4.

This week saw the long-awaited introduction of Mariam Timmer to the RHOLagos cast and we can already tell she’s poised to deliver premium content.

From a luxury trip to the wives calling a truce, here are some of our fave highlights from this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Lagos.

The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 4

1. Laura and Chioma exchange some gbas gbos

Since Chioma referred to Laura as a “client” and not a friend, Laura has had it out for Chioma, and things finally came to a head this week.

Trouble started after things cooled off between Laura and Carolyna, with Laura promising to speak to her sister, blogger Linda Ikeji, to take down the stories Carolyna had complained about. Chioma then seized the opportunity to ask Laura to appeal to her sister to take down the stories she had done on her business partner and BFF, Kika. This request did not sit well with Laura, who went off on Chioma.

“Please don’t let us talk about Kika here, and if you’re talking about Kika here. F*ck Kika!”

Chioma, in turn, responded, and it wasn’t long before the ladies were giving it to each other hot hot.

Wahala be like bicycle o.

Mercifully, Iyabo and Toyin got into a mock fight to ease the tension and it appeared to work, but we’ve still got our eyes on those two.

2. Chioma presents her employee with a prosthetic arm

Moving swiftly from the gbas gbos to some heartwarming stuff, this week gave us some insight into Chioma’s interaction with her staff.

The Brass & Copper and Good Hair boss presented Jeffery, one of her bartenders who lost his arm in a bus accident, with a prosthetic arm, and frankly, we’re here for all the good feels this gesture brought with it.

Way to go, Chioma!

3. Iyabo learns to use chopsticks

Following the chaos of the last outing with the ladies, Chioma decides to take the crew out to dinner at a Japanese restaurant to smooth things over ahead of the big trip, and as per usual, the ladies are dressed to the nines.

But what stands out for us is Iyabo aka Aunty Iyabo’s impromptu chopstick lessons orchestrated by Toyin and Chioma.

In true no-holds-barred Iyabo style, she asks “how do they use this thing?” once the food arrives with the chopsticks. Toyin and Chioma are quick to offer lessons and in no time, Iyabo is picking food with her chopsticks while the ladies cheer her on.

Talk about a real vibe queen.

4. Mariam Timmer is in the building!

After three long weeks, we finally get a glimpse of wife number six, Mariam Timmer, who says “my core values are my family” and describes herself as “one of a kind, funny and playful”.

Mariam joins Toyin at her Ninja-themed fortified Ninja shoot where the pair discuss the photoshoot and also speculate on Chioma’s invite to the “land of power and wealth”.

But Mariam has us laughing out loud when she reveals that the first time her daughter “said dada instead of mama I felt like packing all her load and putting her outside the house”.

For Mariam, “life is all about laughter and you don’t have to take yourself too serious” and we get a good glimpse of this when she grills Toyin’s daughter, Tiannah, about having a boyfriend.

5. The Real Housewives of Lagos take Abuja

After a round of clues, it turns out that Chioma is taking the ladies to Abuja for a luxury getaway. While a mild drama plays out between Toyin and Carolyna at the airport over lateness, the ladies soon settle into the excitement of traveling.

Once aboard the aircraft, the ladies try to work out the nerves of flying with some bubbly and a side of prayers.

In Abuja, Laura discusses with her friend and plus-one, Celine, that whatever happens tonight, “I’ll try as much as possible to be cool but if I fight, you’ve got to fight.”

Wahalurrr.

Meanwhile, in today’s episode of “Nigerian mothers have zero chill”, Toyin is also joined by her daughter, Tiannah, and she wastes no time in confronting her over her boyfriend situation.

“Tiannah, your daddy called me to say you have a boyfriend, is it true?,” she asks.

Mariam soon joins Toyin and Tiannah and they plunge further into the boyfriend conversation.

“Tiannah, let’s be talking about it small small, peck is allowed but the day they want to kiss you, one kiss is $100 000.”

Issokay.

Will the ladies get along on this trip? Is Mariam coming with some gbas gbos? All episodes of The Real Housewives of Lagos, including the two-part reunion, are now streaming.
