5 shocking moments from the first episodes of Legacy

A product of Emmy-nominated Tshedza Pictures, Legacy is set in the fast-paced world of investment billionaires and tells the story of a family at war with itself. The show features a diverse cast made up of new talent and familiar faces from soapies from years gone by.

Stream the first month’s worth of Legacy on Showmax now, and then keep up with all the drama on a daily basis, with new episodes landing every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on Showmax from 19 October 2020.

Here are a few of the plot twists and turns we didn’t see coming in the first four episodes of M-Net’s telenovela. (Spoiler alert: If you haven’t watched these episodes yet, you might want to stop reading now, and come back once you’ve caught up!)

1. Felicity and Sebastian’s literal cliffhanger moment

Was it an accident? Was it a moment of sheer instinct? Either way, this scene had us wondering how much further the eldest Price daughter would go to seize power.

2. When Stefan is too quick on the draw

Two things took us completely by surprise here: one, Sebastian survives his fall. And second, he gets shot – by none other than Stefan, his trusted employee, in a desperate bid to keep Felicity safe.

3. Msizi’s cunning plot to seize control

Right from the get-go, Msizi was a character we loved to hate. His clever plan to execute a coup d’etat while Sebastian is “missing” had us on the edge of our seats.

4. Felicity is overcome with regret

In a moment of weakness, Felicity decides that she can’t live with her regret about what happened to her father. We were convinced she was about to pull the trigger …

5. Moving Sebastian’s body

Determined to protect her father’s legacy, despite everything, Felicity convinces Stefan to help her move Sebastian’s body from where it lies to the abandoned quarry. She’s hoping that, this way, the police won’t find his body until it’s too late.
