Little girl Tip gets separated from her mom at the exact time that purple alien Oh is chased off his planet for the bad luck that follows him like a shadow. The two make an unlikely team but that’s the cuteness of the movie: everyone is special, no matter how you look, how tall you are or what colour your skin is as Oh tries to get his new bestie back to her mom.

Po the panda is chop-socking his way onto the small screen in a trilogy of adventures. Plus he’s got his animal friends who’re helping him learn life lessons as he goes along. In Kung Fu Panda 1 (2008), Po learns kung fu to protect his country. Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) sees “the dragon warrior” Po saving his village.
