Home (2015, PG)
Little girl Tip gets separated from her mom at the exact time that purple alien Oh is chased off his planet for the bad luck that follows him like a shadow. The two make an unlikely team but that’s the cuteness of the movie: everyone is special, no matter how you look, how tall you are or what colour your skin is as Oh tries to get his new bestie back to her mom.
Voices of Rihanna (Tip), Jim Parsons from The Big Bang Theory (Oh).
The Lorax (2012, PG)
Iconic children’s author Dr Seuss’s creation comes to life in the brightest shade of orange since the sun. The movie’s moustachioed hero is teaching viewers an important message about conserving nature as he protects trees (which he believes are magical spirits) from evil timber companies that are cutting down anything and everything in their paths.
Voices of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron.
Kung Fu Panda 1 (2008), Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) and Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016)
Po the panda is chop-socking his way onto the small screen in a trilogy of adventures. Plus he’s got his animal friends who’re helping him learn life lessons as he goes along. In Kung Fu Panda 1 (2008), Po learns kung fu to protect his country. Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) sees “the dragon warrior” Po saving his village. And in Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016), Po and his papa save the panda paradise from a supernatural enemy.
Voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie.

Zombillenium (2017, PG10)
It’s like Hotel Transylvania but more fun! Every monster you can think of from zombies to vampires gets to go on rides, eat corn dogs and have fun. There’s a strict “no humans” policy at the door, until one unlucky teen gets stuck in the theme park after dark. And he’s not alone! It’s based on the comic book series of the same name and has a cast of unknowns from the Belgian film industry.
Rango (2011, PG12)
A regular home chameleon gets lost in the Wild West and takes up the role of sheriff. The only problem is that he’s a nervous wreck at the best of times, he’s timid and he’s got zero life skills. He’s been watered and taken care of all his life, so facing off with a hawk and a rattlesnake is not his idea of fun!
Voices of Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher.
Smallfoot (2018, PG V)
Yetis are awesome characters and this movie is all about keeping dreams alive. The difference is that our yeti Migo is the main man and his dream is to prove to his village that humans are real. He kicks off his adventure from his Himalayan home after seeing a plane crash and trying to rescue the people onboard – a strict no-no in yeti culture.
Voices of Channing Tatum, Zendaya.
