016FM Season 1 episode 7 recap: The show must go on
After last week’s tragic events on 016FM, the Vaal mourns Mama Jane, and the station feels her absence deeply. Tsietsi grapples with his grief while Latoya and Whiskey’s relationship heats up. Here’s the recap:
Heartfelt tributes to Mama Jane
The station invites the public to share their tributes to Mama Jane and listeners flood the airwaves with their kind words about her impact on the community, bringing Tsietsi some much-needed comfort.
The Vaal rallies around Tsietsi
Support pours in from all corners of the Vaal. Bikers and spinners rally behind Tsietsi, while his colleagues at the station offer unwavering support. Even Whiskey and Queen put aside their differences to express their condolences.
Latoya and Whiskey come out of the closet, literally
Latoya announces she’s Team Tsietsi, but Whiskey can’t handle it. He confronts her about their chemistry – is it real, or all in his mind? This leads to a passionate kiss in the supply closet. Without them realising, Queen catches the whole thing on camera and broadcasts it live, much to their fans’ delight!
Tsietsi’s heartbreak
The Prof tries to mend his relationship with Tsietsi after Mama Jane’s death, but Tsietsi can’t let go of the past. He blames his father for abandoning them and makes it clear he wants nothing to do with him.
Latoya and Whiskey heat up more than just the airwaves
Latoya and Whiskey’s connection deepens. After a date at Pi’s Place, they head back to Whiskey’s house, taking their relationship to the next level.
Could they be the real deal? And what about the upcoming Kwaal? Stay tuned to Showmax! New 016FM episodes drop every Wednesday.
