Abandoned offers those who were abandoned as children a chance to locate and reconnect with their loved ones. The reality series was nominated for Best Docu-Reality at the 2022 South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs).
Hosted by actress and presenter Phumeza Mdabe (Unmarried), Abandoned attempts to reunite children with their long-lost or unknown parents. Mdabe returns for another season, bringing her emotional intelligence, kindness and non-judgmental hosting style, which makes those at their most vulnerable feel safe in her trusted hands.
