Bob’s Burgers S8
There’s plenty of room for hilarity in the little seaside burger joint the Belcher family run in Bob’s Burgers.
First things first: episodes are 21 minutes long and you can binge the entire season in one sitting. Unlike similar animated shows such as American Dad! and Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers stays away from political topics and focuses on the family and characters. That makes it suitable viewing for your family, too.
It’s got clever animation, clever scripts and a really fun, light-hearted cast of voice actors who bring the characters to life in a very different way to other animations. It’s not always quick to the point, which means you sometimes need to invest a little more patience than you’d hoped.
It’s still addictive though, so keep streaming, advises Rowan Kaiser from tv.aclub.com: “The show is amusing, yes, and there is certainly potential, but it takes half a dozen episodes before it really begins to meet that potential. A significant part of that reason is that it’s over-reliant on a single plot form: Bob attempts to deal with a straw-man ‘liberal’ meddling with his family or business.”
