Huba S1-7
From Maisha Magic Bongo, Huba is a Tanzanian Swahili telenovela that follows two feuding families whose worlds collide in their quest for power. While money and greed become the only solution to their everyday problems, true love becomes their only hope for survival. But when hate draws a thin line between them, their destiny is uncertain.
Released in 2017, Huba is the longest-running Swahili telenovela produced in Tanzania and has grown to become the most popular TV show among fans, not only for its intriguing plotline but also for turning fresh Tanzanian faces into stars overnight. Huba also features a number of celebrated Bongo veterans like Muhogo Mchungu, Fatuma Makongoro, Mboto Haji, Abdul Ahmed aka Ben Blanco and so many more.
The new seventh season sees award-winning Tanzanian singer-songwriter Nandy (first female musician in East Africa to garner 10 million views on YouTube) join the cast in a leading role. She plays a singer who must learn to open her heart to love again after a painful betrayal.
Huba is executive produced by Lulu Hassan through her production company Jiffy Pictures, which has also given us other fan-favourite Swahili telenovelas such as Kovu, Maza, Maria, Aziza and Moyo.
