Munich (2005)
Discover the dramatic story of a secret squad whose mission is to track down and kill a group of terrorists believed to be behind the assault and death of 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.
Eric Bana plays Mossad agent Avner Kaufman who leads the squad of volunteers in their pursuit of the terrorists, who’ve scattered around the world. The squad was sanctioned by the Israeli prime minister, Golda Meir, but caused much controversy.
The movie, which is directed by Steven Spielberg, makes use of real news footage from the attacks. It was nominated for five Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director.
