Nigerian Idol 10 live shows begin!
Nigerian Idol Season 10 has entered its most thrilling phase as the live shows kicked off on Sunday night, 25 May 2025, with the top 10 contestants – Mikki, Raymu, Ellacentric, Kristopher, Sally, Boss Lady, Brammy, Jkenova, Lawrence, and Purp – performing on a Billboard Takeover themed night.
The live premiere opened with a rousing group performance of “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman, setting the tone for an evening of bold self-expression and standout vocals. From heartfelt ballads to Naija hits, each contestant lit up the stage with their unique artistry, performing Billboard hits that included songs by Nigerian artistes – “Finesse” by Pheelz and “Love Nwantiti” by CKay.
As part of the anniversary celebration, host IK Osakioduwa announced a special twist to the show – a surprise appearance from a one-time Billboard chart-topper, D’banj. He was welcomed back to the Nigerian Idol judges’ chair with Ric Hassani and Iyanya. Together they offered the right blend of praise, authentic reactions and banter to the contestants’ performances.

With the live shows now underway, the journey to crown Nigeria’s next music superstar continues every Sunday night at 7pm, streaming live on Showmax, leading up to the grand finale in July. Fans are encouraged to tune in, support their favourite contestants, and be part of this thrilling musical adventure.
