SAFTA nominated series to binge on Showmax
It’s that time of year where Mzansi’s finest filmmakers come together to celebrate the best our industry has to offer. Isibaya, Zabalaza and Binnelanders have all been nominated for Most Popular TV Soap, and you can binge-watch them all on Showmax.
With 258 nominees in over 89 categories, this year’s South African Film and Television Awards is a big one. The ceremony will be hosted over two nights at it’s new home, Sun City, which explains why there are rumours flying around that there will be an epic SAFTA beach party.
Here are the SAFTA nominated shows you can binge on Showmax
Isibaya

Zabalaza
Set in Dube, Soweto, in the home of Joseph “Jazzman” Cele, the patriarch of the Cele family, his wife Gasta and their children. This typical family next door seems to have it all, but appearances can be deceiving.
