The River: Will Lindiwe ever forgive her son?
You better believe that there’s always something to talk about when it comes to The River. If it’s not Cobra’s shenanigans, it’s Lindiwe Dlamini and her family’s never-ending drama. We’re still trying to deal with all the epic scenes from last week’s episodes.
Lindiwe hates Andile
Just when we thought we had Lindiwe all figured out, she goes and shows us another side. The mining magnate has proven once again that she’s not willing to let anything stand between her and her money, not even her own children.
Viewers watched in shock as Lindiwe, who owns Khanyisa Diamonds, told her son Andile that the sound of his voice makes her sick. Even the fact that they breathe the same air makes Lindiwe nauseous. Okay, we get that Andile forgot to insure the now-stolen diamond, but does he deserve all the hateful comments from his mother right now? We don’t think so.
Andile hasn't just cost Lindiwe R150 million, he's also put his family at risk of losing absolutely everything if that diamond is not found. #TheRiver1Magic

Yes, Andile was negligent for not sending the insurance forms, and now that the diamond has been stolen, his parents could lose their house and everything else that they own. However, it was just too painful to hear Lindiwe telling her only son that she wishes she could rip out her womb to erase any trace of Andile. She told him that hundreds of people are going to lose their jobs and it’s all because of him. We get that she’s angry at him, but she might have said some really harsh words that she’ll never be able to take back.
Flora tells Malefu about her crush
Can we just mention how funny it is to see Flora behaving like a teenage girl? Her crush on Walter is making her do some rather funny things. Although seeing her getting excited about her crush, it’s also a bit awkward because she doesn’t know that the man she’s in love with wants to marry her best friend Malefu.
You see, Walter has made it clear that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Malefu. He’s even willing to wait for her, as she’s explained that she’s not ready for a relationship right now.
Someone who seems to be ready, however, is Flora. On Friday, Flora told Malefu that she’s asked her crush out for drinks and that he’s accepted her invitation. At first, Malefu was happy for her friend until she found out that her mystery man was Walter. Now the tricky part is that Flora has no idea about Walter’s feelings for Malefu and we have a feeling that things are going to be rather awkward when she finds out.
Aus'Flora innocently fills in her friend on her new crush. What will happen once she finds out Walter has the hearts for Malefu? #TheRiver1Magic

Will Malefu burst Flora’s bubble, or will she act as if she’s happy for her? We know that Malefu has mentioned that she’s not ready for a relationship right now, but it’s quite obvious that she has feelings for Walter. We hope that they won’t let this man get in the way of their friendship.
It’s clear that things are going to get interesting on The River this week. You can’t afford to miss out on all the drama so you’d better stream the show right here on Showmax. New episodes air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
