The River: Zolani, Andile and Mbali arrested
Nothing stays hidden forever. That’s something that Zolani, Andile and Mbali should have known. But because they thought they were clever, they assumed that they could get away with their big secret.
Well, things didn’t go according to plan and they’ve now found themselves in jail. Their biggest nightmare has come true and they have no one else to blame but themselves.
How did they end up in this mess? Well, it all started after Kim died on Lindiwe and Zweli’s bed. This happened at a party that they threw when their parents were on holiday.
Of course, everything was supposed to go smoothly but when alcohol and drugs are added to the mix, things tend to turn sour. Instead of reporting Kim’s death to the police, Zolani and his fugitive friend, Mavusana, thought it would be best to dump her body somewhere.
All hell broke loose
Hell-bent on protecting his friend, Zolani told Mbali and Andile to keep the secret. At first, Andile and Mbali were against the idea because they could feel that it would land them into big trouble. At some point, Mbali threatened to confess. They eventually got on the same page.
But before the Dikana trio could relax, they discovered that Mavusana hadn’t skipped the country like he was supposed to. All hell broke loose after the cops found Kim’s cellphone and it had pictures and videos from the Dikana mansion. As if that weren’t enough, they found out that Mavusana had been arrested.
The secret is out – jail time for the Dikana trio
Zolani assured his cousins that things would be fine and that Mavusana would not snitch on them. But he didn’t know that it was already too late, and the cops were closing in. They even had to answer to Lindiwe who’s been suspicious about their behaviour since she got back from her vacation, and demanded the truth.
They were left with no choice but to come clean about what happened. She asked why they didn’t tell her sooner and made it clear to them that they would end up in prison.
Just as Lindiwe was prancing around the house, Zweli and Tshabalala walked in and it was game over for the children. They’ve all been arrested. Will Lindiwe use her influence to get them out? You have to stay glued to Showmax to find out. New episodes of The River air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
