The River: Will Zolani, Mbali and Andile’s big secret land them in jail?
While Lindiwe and Zweli were having the time of their lives on holiday, their kids (Zolani included), were up to no good at the mansion. There was no drama at all the in the first few days, however, trouble started after Zolani’s friend escaped from prison and sought refuge at the Dikana household.
Although Mbali and Andile were against the idea at first, their cousin was determined to give his friend a place to hide. The initial agreement was that Mavusana would stay with them for a couple of days and then head to Swaziland where he would start a new life for himself. But it’s evident that he overstayed his welcome at the mansion because his presence led to more trouble than anyone had expected.
Somebody dies!
Things went from bad to worse after the Dikana children decided to host a party at home, despite Flora being against the idea. They reassured her that everything would go well and that promised to be on their best behaviour. However, the first sign of trouble was when Zolani walked in with Kim, who robbed the Dikanas the last time there was a party at the house.
It was all fun and games at first until Mavusana went upstairs with Kim. While he was looking for a good time, he ended up with a nightmare after Kim suddenly went unconscious. He panicked, went downstairs and asked Zolani to go upstairs with him. Mbali and Andile followed them. When they got to the bedroom, Zolani tried waking Kim up but she was unresponsive. When asked what had happened, Mavusana swore that he did nothing wrong. A few minutes later Zolani and Mavusana dragged Kim’s body downstairs.
Of course, Mbali and Andile are now in the middle of this drama and all they want to know from Zolani is whether they can believe Mavusana’s story or not. Can he be trusted? Also, what happens when the truth comes out?
It’s even worse now that Lindiwe and Zweli are back in town. As soon as the pair arrived, Lindiwe suspected that something was off. To make things even more dramatic, she found a hair strand on her bed. She and Zweli both wondered who it belonged to and wondered if Zolani was bringing girls into their bedroom.
It’s now up to Mbali and Andile to decide whether they’re keeping the secret or not. The siblings are cracking under the pressure. Meanwhile, Zolani insists that Kim overdosed and that even if the cops did find her body, they would see that she had drugs in her system. He acknowledged that he’s responsible for the chaos, assured them that Mavusana is in Swaziland starting afresh and will not be coming back.
Will the truth come out?
So, everything is fine, right? Not so fast. The Dikana children’s problems are far from over because Kim’s body has been found dumped somewhere and her phone is now part of the investigation. Zweli has vowed that he will prioritise this case so that the criminals who are responsible for the crime can be brought to book. Little does he know that the criminals are right under his nose.
As if that’s not enough, Mavusana has dropped a huge bomb on Zolani – he’s still in town! Now, this is obviously not the kind of news Zolani was expecting. Will the Dikana children manage to bury this secret forever, or will they end up behind bars? We can’t wait to find out! Make sure that you watch The River to stay up to date. New episodes air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
