Terms and Conditions

  1. The terms and conditions below apply to the “Two for The Price of One Campaign” (hereinafter referred to as the “2 for 1 Campaign”)
  2. The 2 for 1 Campaign terms (hereafter referred to as “Terms”) are supplementary to the Showmax terms and conditions – South Africa and Lesotho and the Showmax terms and conditions – Global and apply to the use of the Showmax Service by eligible/qualifying new users for the duration of the Promo Period.
  3. Please read these terms and conditions carefully.
  1. General Information
    1. The 2 for 1 Campaign is available in the following territories:
      1. South Africa
      2. Lesotho
      3. Kenya
      4. Ghana
      5. Uganda
      6. ROA 
    2. The 2 for 1 Campaign is a time-limited offer which applies within the Promo Period and is associated with a special discount on the following subscriptions: Showmax Mobile and Showmax All devices Subscription Plans (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Showmax Subscriptions”).
    3. The Promo Period is a period from 9 June 2022 until further notice. You can subscribe to the Showmax Service and enjoy the 2 for 1 Campaign.
    4. Eligible customers will receive 2 months’ worth of their chosen Showmax Subscription (any subscription from the list provided in clause 2.2 above) for the price of 1.
    5. Eligible customers can enjoy the 2 for 1 Campaign by subscribing to the Showmax Service during the Promo Period.
    6. The 2 for 1 Campaign eligible customers are ineligible for a free Showmax Service trial. 
    7. The 2 for 1 Campaign applies to customers using any recurring payment instrument and are eligible as recorded in clause 3 below (2 for 1 Campaign Customer Eligibility).
  2. The 2 for 1 Campaign Customer Eligibility
    1. The 2 for 1 Campaign is available to customers who receive the 2 for 1 Campaign communication from Showmax and meet one of the following requirements:
      1. Customers who have never used or subscribed to the Showmax Service;
      2. Existing Showmax Service customers who have never saved or added a payment instrument on their Showmax Service account; who add/save a payment instrument on to their Showmax Service account within the Promo Period; and pay for the Showmax Service in accordance with these terms and conditions of the 2 For 1 Campaign.
      3. Former Showmax Service customers who stopped using the Showmax Service recently/before the commencement of the 2 for 1 Campaign can enjoy the campaign.
      4. Selected existing Showmax Service customers who subscribed using a valid payment instrument/method.
  1. The 2 for 1 Campaign Limitations
    1. Eligible customers are not permitted to simultaneously enjoy the benefits of both the 2 for 1 Campaign and the Mastercard two-year 10% Discount on a recurring Mastercard (hereafter referred to as the Mastercard Loyalty Campaign).
    2. Customers who have taken up the Mastercard Loyalty Campaign and thereafter add the 2 for 1 Campaign code to their Showmax Service Account will automatically have their 10% reduction under the Mastercard Loyalty Campaign removed from their Showmax Service account, for the 2 for 1 Campaign Promo Period. 
    3. Only one 2 for 1 Campaign discount per user/customer.
    4. Customers are only eligible for the 2 for 1 Campaign via the dedicated campaign journey provided within the communication from Showmax.
    5. Customers are ineligible for the 2 for 1 Campaign via the country level Showmax.com welcome pages.
  2. Pricing & Payments
    1. The 2 for 1 Campaign is linked to a noteworthy/special price for the Showmax Subscriptions as shown on the campaign pages in each region/country. The 2 for 1 Campaign is configured to automatically enrol customers into monthly recurring payments by default on the anniversary of the second month (if the customer chose to use a recurring payment instrument, unless the customer opted out). 
    2. Certain payment methods do not support the opt-out option from the recurring payments. In such cases, to disable monthly recurring payments customers are required to cancel their subscription before the second anniversary of the monthly billing (before the end of the Free Period as defined in clause 5.2 below and/or Promo Period).
    3. Subscription pricing is subject to change; as such any change in the pricing payable for any Showmax product shall be brought to the customer’s attention on the payment page before the conclusion of their transaction.
    4. Showmax Service customers get 31 additional days (Free Period) to the prepaid month when they sign up. For example: if a Showmax Service customer purchases on 15 July, the Showmax Service customer’s Free Period shall start on 15 August and will last until 15 September. On 15 September, the Showmax Service customer is then automatically enrolled into monthly recurring payments (if a selected recurring payment instrument has been used). In order to not be automatically enrolled into recurring payments, the Showmax Service customer must cancel their subscription before the end of the Free Period.
  3. Miscellaneous
    1. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to determine whether you are eligible for the 2 For 1 Campaign.
    2. Unless otherwise stated, Showmax terms and conditions – South Africa and Lesotho and the Showmax terms and conditions – Global shall remain in full force and effect to Showmax service.
    3. In case of discrepancy between these terms and Showmax terms and conditions – South Africa and Lesotho and the Showmax terms and conditions – Global, the provisions of these terms will prevail.
    4. Unless otherwise extended, this version of the Showmax service terms and conditions applies for the Promo Period only.
    5. We reserve the right at any time and for any reason to terminate the 2 For 1 Campaign.
