1. Description

1. The terms and conditions below apply to the “Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promotion” (hereinafter referred to as “Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo”). 

2. These Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo terms (hereinafter referred to as “Terms”) are supplementary to the Showmax terms and conditions – Global, Airtel Money Mastercard terms and conditions and apply to use of the Showmax Service by eligible/qualifying Airtel Money Mastercard cardholders for the duration of the promotion period being 4 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the “Promo Period”) and the Discount Period (4 October 2021 to 30 April 2022).

2. General Information 

1. The Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo applies in Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda and th Republic Congo (DRC) as listed in our FAQs.  

2. The Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo is a limited offer which applies within the Promo Period, which is associated with:  
   (i) a special discount on the Showmax Service Subscription (Showmax Mobile and Showmax Pro Mobile), of up to 90% discount for one month (for the first month) and 10% discount thereafter (for the second month) within the Discount Period (applies to recurring payments only); and 
   (ii) 1GB of data supplied by Airtel for 7 days; which will be allocated within 24 hours of subscription payment.  

4. During the Promo Period (4 October 2021 to 31 March 2022), prospective customers can subscribe to the Showmax Service and existing customers can change their payment method to an Airtel Money Mastercard to enjoy the Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo. 

5. The Discount Period is a period from 4 October 2021 to 30 April 2022 for Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda and Republic of Congo. During the Discount Period, eligible customers can enjoy a discount on their Showmax Service Subscription as outlined below. 

3. Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo Offer Eligibility

To qualify for the Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo customers have to meet the following requirements: 

1. first-time Showmax Service customers must use an Airtel Money Mastercard card to sign up during the Promo Period;  

2. existing Showmax Service customers must change their payment method by entering a Airtel Money Mastercard card during the Promo Period, the respective Airtel Money Mastercard must enable recurring billing; and 

3. customers who sign up to the Showmax Service must use an IP address registered in Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda and Republic of Congo. 

4.  Pricing 

The Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo is associated with up to a 90% discount for one month (for the first month) and 10% discount thereafter (for the second month) on Showmax Service monthly subscription prices within the Discount Period (applies to recurring payments only) and will be applied as follows: 

1. Tanzania 

Showmax Mobile subscription:  
Standard price: TSH7, 800.00 per month, Discounted price: TSH 1,000.00 per month  
 
Showmax Pro Mobile:  
Standard price: TSh 23,000.00 per month, Discounted price: TSH 2,300.00 per month   

2. Zambia  

Showmax Mobile subscription:  

Standard price: ZMW 72.00 per month, Discounted price: ZMW 7.20 per month  

Showmax Pro Mobile:  

Standard price: ZMW 216.00 per month, Discounted price: ZMW 21.60 per month   
 

3. Uganda 

Showmax Mobile subscription:  
Standard price: UGX 11499 per month, Discounted price: UGX 1,149.90 per month  
 

Showmax Pro Mobile:  
Standard price: UGX 33600 per month, Discounted price: UGX 3,360.00 per month   

4. Republic of Congo  

Showmax Mobile subscription:  
Standard price: $2.99 per month, Discounted price: $0.30 per month 
 
Showmax Pro Mobile:  
Standard price: $8.99 per month, Discounted price: $0.90 per month 

5. The Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo is offered for a maximum of 1 offer. Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo stacking is disabled. 
   
6. Full Showmax Service monthly subscription prices will be applied to customers after the Discount Period.
   
7. Card verification process applicable for recurring payment Mastercard Promo Customers.
    
8. The following amounts will be withheld/drawn from the customer’s nominated account, when the customer/cardholder enters their Airtel Mastercard card (“card”) details for their monthly payments: 

• Tanzania – $0.50 

• Zambia – $0.50 

• Uganda – $0.01 
  
• DRC – $0.30 

9. The above applicable amounts are required to verify the card details submitted by the customer/cardholder. 

10. The amounts recorded in clause 4.8 will automatically be released after 14 days, from the date on which the customer/cardholder successfully submitted their card details.  

11. In the instance a customer encounters any issues with respect to this process recorded herein, the customer is requested to chat to us on chat.showmax.com.  

5. Miscellaneous 

1. Showmax reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to determine whether you are eligible for the Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo. 

2. Unless otherwise stated, the Showmax terms and conditions – Global shall remain in full force and effect. 

3. In case of a discrepancy between these terms and Showmax terms and conditions – Global, the provisions of these terms will prevail. 

4. Unless otherwise extended, this version of Showmax service terms and conditions applies for the Promo Period. 

5. Showmax reserves the right at any time and for any reason to terminate the Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo. 

6. This version of the Showmax Airtel Money Mastercard Promo Terms applies from 4 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 for Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda and Republic of Congo which will be specified as and when this promotion becomes available therein, unless the Promo Period is extended.
