The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2 episode 11 recap: Annie confronts LaConco
Just because people hang out together, it doesn’t mean that they should become besties. Well, that’s what LaConco and Annie’s situation taught us on The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2 episode 11. Week in and week out, the co-stars are in each other’s company at parties, lunch dates and getaways – but that doesn’t mean they particularly fond of each other.
They made it clear during the latest episode of the hit reality show. Annie, who’s been very suspicious of LaConco’s mystery man known as Petal, decided to confront LaConco after hearing some news about this gentleman. This all went down in Sun City on a trip that was made possible by Annie.
Addressing LaConco’s lies
She decided to pull LaConco aside to set the record straight. Annie is under the impression that LaConco has been lying about Petal and that doesn’t sit well with her. “I brought you up here because I want us to have a space to ourselves so we can talk openly to each other.”
She told her that they hadn’t clicked from the beginning and that she didn’t think that they would ever get to that place. “But if we’re going to continue to be around each other, for me, I feel more comfortable knowing the truth,” she said.
According to Annie, LaConco’s lies keep getting worse. She then told her what she heard. “Jojo said to me, that she and her husband, they know Petal. They know a few personal details about Petal.” She pointed out that one of those details was that Petal was possibly looking to move into an apartment.
“But obviously you were saying to us that he owns a yacht,” Annie added. It’s obvious that she was implying that this man was not as rich as LaConco had led them to believe.
None of your concern
Meanwhile, LaConco was clearly not moved by Annie’s findings. She immediately said that the ladies were all “crazy”, adding that they should believe whatever they wanted to believe as it didn’t concern her.
“I don’t know. That’s news to me. That’s very new to me,” she told Annie.
“You guys dig, hey. This is new but it really does not move me, it does not shake me. I’m just surprised,” LaConco added.
Is Annie entitled to details about LaConco’s private life? She told the mother of one that the first time they met, everything has been open-ended with no definite answer from LaConco.
LaConco has been very careful about what she shares on the show, compared to her cast mates. She made it clear to Annie that she didn’t owe her any kind of information.
“I don’t feel like I can trust you,” Annie said. “I don’t feel like you are closing the gaps for me, you’re not making me feel safe in this friendship because of all the open-endedness.”
She also shared that she was happy to completely cut LaConco off after the Sun City Trip.
