Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Kamsi asks Lota for a divorce

Last week saw Kamsi confiding in Nengi that her marriage was over. This week, Kamsi blurts it out to Lota in the most unconventional way.

After returning from Nengi’s tragically embarrassing party, Lota tries to strike up a conversation with Kamsi about the retreat. Can you believe he was trying to tell her about a retreat he didn’t even attend?

When she doesn’t respond, he tries to get all touchy-feely with her.

She declines his advances but he continues and then, she hits him with, “I want a divorce”.

The next morning, Kamsi tries to have an honest conversation with Lota about their relationship and how it’s not working because he has refused to take any responsibility for his life and has failed to grow. But in true Lota fashion, he deflects from the issues and accuses Kamsi of cheating, implying that she has found someone else, hence her decision to end the marriage.

Kamsi is such a queen. How she didn’t even indulge Lota in his mudslinging match was nothing short of classy and we are glad she’s finally deciding to leave this deadbeat Lota and live her life to the fullest.

Ali beats Iya Funbi and Joe at their own game

What was Funbi thinking? Taking Ali to Nengi’s party? We think she may have just handed him the shears to cut off Nengi and Kamsi.

We know we say this every week, but we really can’t get over how abusive Ali can be. It is jarring with every episode.

We were so shook when Ali pinned Funbi down by the neck and called her a worthless piece of trash because she was of the dissenting opinion that Bode’s wife embarrassed herself and was holding on to a marriage that was no longer working.

Iya Funbi continues to impress the fact that Ali is a manipulator, but as usual, Funbi is not listening.

Imagine our collective surprise when Iya Funbi asks Funbi for 250 000 naira as an instalment for her cancer treatment and Funbi responds saying: “Me, I don’t have 250 000, when Ali comes back I’ll show him and he’ll pay”.

Clearly Funbi hasn’t learned from her terrible experiences with men because how can she be completely dependent on a psycho like Ali?

Iya Funbi was so right when she told Joe that Ali is enticing Funbi with the possibility of having everything but actually giving her nothing.

Ali, however, being the master manipulator, pulls a stunt that none of us saw coming. He tells Joe to get a life because being Funbi’s PA won’t get him anywhere. He offers to help Joe get a real job and advises him to stop wasting his life.

Ali also confronts Iya Funbi with his discovery that her claims of cancer and having only one year to live are all lies.

Ali – 1; Iya Funbi and Joe – 0.

Nengi is heartbroken

After having the most embarrassing birthday in the history of birthdays, Nengi is an emotional wreck.

She spends the next few days sobbing in her room and Tari’s “I told you so” isn’t helping matters.

Imagine the nerve of Bode to show up at her house after that embarrassing incident. Tari tries to stop him from getting in but he pleads with her to let him have a word with Nengi.

He appeals to Nengi not to let their relationship go because of Moji, his wife. He insists that their marriage is over and Moji is just being spiteful because he has moved on and has even got an apartment of his own. We aren’t sure what to believe anymore.

On one hand, Bode seems like he genuinely wants this relationship to work and on the other, he’s still the same Bode who lied about having a wife and children.

To take her mind off the heartbreak, Nengi focuses instead on working on the fitness website and social media she was initially working on with Bode’s wife. She once again recruits the help of Mayowa, who is concerned about how she’s doing emotionally.

The girls decide to go out and let their hair down in a bid to cheer Nengi up. Unfortunately, Nengi is not in a cheery mood and breaks down in sobs at the club.

Will Kamsi go through with the divorce? Will Iya Funbi and Joe plan a comeback? Will Nengi hear Bode out?
