Empini Season 1 Episodes 19-20 recap: Shocking revelations and hidden agendas
This week on Empini, Zenzele’s true parentage is revealed, Ndoni drops a bombshell on her mother, Khaya’s will shakes up the future of MPS, and Jabulani makes a startling confession. Here’s what you missed.
Khaya discovers a shocking truth

In a flashback, a young Masasa suspects Khaya is lying about his whereabouts, while in the present, Khaya suspects that Masasa is lying about her son, Zenzele. When the truth finally comes out, Khaya is speechless. Zenzele is his son!
Khaya’s will is read

The future of MPS hangs in the balance as Khaya’s will is read. Winnie inherits all of Khaya’s savings and 50% control of MPS. The remaining 50% goes into a trust controlled by Nosi and Mkhonto, raising the stakes for everyone involved.
The General plays political chess

The General isn’t sitting idle. He urges Uhuru to manipulate Nosi and attend the will reading, positioning him to take over MPS. Meanwhile, he pressures Thobani to expose Enoch’s dirty secrets in the cholera scandal.
Uhuru makes his move
Uhuru seizes the moment, using Nosi’s grief to inch closer to her and secure his place at the helm of MPS. His strategy pays off as Nosi convinces Mkhonto that Uhuru is the best candidate to lead the company.
Ndoni reveals the truth
Ndoni drops a bombshell of her own, confiding in her mother that Khaya killed Bonga. But instead of standing by her daughter, her mother dismisses Ndoni’s claims and insists she needs therapy.
Enoch feels the pressure

The “Watergate” scandal erupts, with the news breaking that Enoch paid bribes to the parents of cholera victims. The public outrage is fierce, and Enoch finds himself under immense pressure as his political career teeters on the edge.
A sizzling moment

The real sizzle moment of the week? Jabulani confesses his feelings for Ndoni and the two hook up! Guess he’s finally out of the friend zone. But will Ndoni finally find some happiness after all her recent disappointments?
We’ll have to wait and see. Stay tuned to Showmax for new episodes of Empini every Thursday!
