The Emmy nominations are out, and you can stream five of the 10 most nominated titles on Showmax.
The Penguin S1: Binge now on Showmax
Following the events of The Batman, Oz Cobb, AKA the Penguin, makes a play to seize the reins of Gotham’s crime world.
The Penguin co-stars an unrecognisable Colin Farrell as The Penguin, with Critics Choice Super Award winner Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs, Made for Love, Fargo) as Sofia Falcone.
The Penguin is up for 24 Emmys, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Lead Actor (Farrell), Lead Actress (Milioti), Supporting Actress (Deirdre O’Connell), Directing and Writing.
The White Lotus S3: Binge now on Showmax
The White Lotus returns for a third instalment following a new group of privileged guests, as well as employees, at another White Lotus hotel, this time in Thailand.
Once again written and directed by Mike White, the show won 15 Emmys for its first two seasons.
Season 3 is up for 23 Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series, Supporting Actor (Jason Isaacs, Sam Rockwell, Walton Goggins) and Supporting Actress (Aimee Lou Wood, Carrie Coon, Natasha Rothwell, Parker Posey), Directing and Cinematography.
The Last Of Us S2: Binge now on Showmax
After a global pandemic destroys civilisation, a hardened survivor takes charge of a 14-year-old girl who may be humanity's last hope.
Five years later, in Season 2, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.

The first season won eight Emmys. Season 2 is up for 16 more, including Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actress (Bella Ramsey), Lead Actor (Pedro Pascal), Guest Actor (Jeffrey Wright, Joe Pantoliano) and Guest Actress (Catherine O’Hara, Kaitlyn Dever).
Hacks S4 | Binge now on Showmax
The reigning Best Comedy Series at the Emmys, Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, Hacks is back for a fourth season, with Deborah and Ava working to get their late-night show off the ground and make history doing it.
As legendary comedian Deborah Vance, Jean Smart has won the Best Actress Emmy every season.
Having already won nine Emmys, Hacks is up for another 14 Emmys for Season 4, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actress (Smart), Supporting Actress (Hannah Einbinder), Guest Actress (Julianne Nicholson, Robby Hoffman), Directing and Writing.
The Pitt S1 | Mondays from 11 August on M-Net and Showmax
Among the three most-watched Max series ever, The Pitt returns ER favourite and five-time Emmy nominee Noah Wyle to the emergency room as Dr Michael "Robby" Robinavitch, who faces a grueling 15-hour shift alongside the staff and interns of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital – aka “The Pitt”.
Including The Pitt in their Top-Rated TV Shows of 2025 list, IMDb wrote, “HBO Max has done the impossible in creating a medical series unlike anything fans of the genre have ever seen. The Pitt is an emotional roller coaster, with blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments that bind you to its characters before you've even realized what happened. We would trust Noah Wyle to save our lives any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.”
The Pitt is up for 13 Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor (Wyle), Supporting Actress (Katherine LaNasa), Guest Actor (Shawn Hatosy), Directing, and Writing.
Showmax has 110 of the nominations available to binge now. This includes epic fantasy House of the Dragon and mega-church comedy The Righteous Gemstones S4 (6 each); 100 Foot Wave, Dune: Prophecy, and The Rehearsal (4 each); SNL: Beyond Saturday Night (3), Chimp Crazy and Somebody Somewhere (2 each), as well as Based on a True Story, Fantasmas, Lioness, The Day of the Jackal, The Handmaid’s Tale, Tulsa King and Outstanding TV Movie nominees Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy and Mountainhead.
Content with another 23 Emmy nominations is coming to Showmax before the end of August 2025.
In July, this includes Emmy nominees Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story (4), The Americas (2), Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary, and Matlock, which saw Kathy Bates become the oldest Emmy nominee for Lead Actress: Drama at age 77. 1923 S2, which has two Emmy nominations, is coming to Showmax in August. See everything come to Showmax in July here.
The Creative Arts Emmys take place on 6 and 7 September 2025, with the Emmy Awards on Sunday, 14 September 2025 in the US. M-Net will broadcast the live show at 02:00 CAT, and again at 21:00 on Monday, 15 September.
