From Emmy-nominated creators Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men) and Nick Bakay (Young Sheldon, Mom), Bookie follows veteran LA bookie Danny (award-winning comedian Sebastian Maniscalco from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, The Irishman) as he navigates the impending legalisation of sports gambling, his increasingly unstable clients, family, co-workers and lifestyle.
Returning cast includes NAACP winner Omar J Dorsey (Queen Sugar) as his best friend and former NFL player, Ray; NAACP nominee Vanessa Ferlito (CSI:NY) as his sister, Lorraine; Jorge Garcia from Lost as the reluctantly reformed drug dealer Hector; and Andrea Anders (Ted Lasso) as Danny’s love interest. Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men) is also expected to make another cameo after his appearance in the first season.
Bookie holds a 90% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
