Grootboom & Sons S1-2
Following the explosive ending of Season 1, Mzansi Magic’s delicious family dynasty drama Grootboom & Sons returns for Season 2 with fresh twists in the tale and some exciting additions to the cast.
Picking up six months after the end of the first season, Mbulelo is about to become a father twice over – and he wants to marry both the women he impregnated. Meanwhile, his brother Zola is laying low, trying to step up and grow up, hoping to finally break away from the family business, and trouble may be brewing for MK as he refuses to take calls from his long-imprisoned son, Luthando.
Reprising their roles are Mbasa Msongelo (Is’thunzi, Saints & Sinners) as Zola, SAFTA nominee Zandile Msutwana (The Queen, Isikizi, Igazi) as Funeka, Luzuko Nkqeto (Lingashoni, Tsha Tsha) as MK, Neo Mekgwe as Kefilwe, Nommangaliso Tebeka as Imani, and Sibulele Gcilitshana (The Station, Tjovitjo) as Vuyo.
SAFTA nominee Thembekile Komani (Blood Psalms, Knuckle City) steps in as Mbulelo, with SAFTA winner Thami Mngqolo (The Payback, Generations) joining the cast as Luthando, and SAFTA nominee Keke Mphuthi (Unmarried, The Brave Ones) as Didi. Rounding off the cast are Zinhle Mabena (Isibaya), Liopelo Maphathe (Gomora, Housekeepers), Gabriel Mini (Housekeepers, Abomama), Mapaseka Koetle (Gereza), and musician and TV presenter Nkosana ‘Bozza’ Nkosi.
