Obstruction S1

The breakout Mzansi Magic sports drama Obstruction centres on Zenokuhle (Luyanda Zuma from Forever Yena), a 17-year-old high schooler and netball superstar who dreams of making her mark and playing for the Gauteng provincial team. When her mom decides to uproot their lives and transfer Zeno to a new school, she has to prove her skills by trying to lead a not-so-great team to the netball finals.  

Bukamina Cebekhulu (Muvhango’s Gugu) plays Zeno’s mother, Thandiwe, with Menzi Biyela (Ithonga, Five Tiger, Uzalo) as Zeno’s father, Mandla, and Lerato Mokoka (Tshiamo in Gomora) as Ora. Nyalleng Thibedi (Uzalo’s Zekhethelo) is Coach Mel, with SAFTA nominees Nhlanhla Kunene (The River, Adulting) and Thembsie Matu (The Queen, Rockville) as Jacob and Gogo respectively.  

Obstruction is created by Thembakuye Madlala (Youngins) and produced by Stained Glass TV, who have given us multi-award-winning hit shows like The Wife, Uzalo and eHostela.
