The Real Housewives of Durban S4: Angel's unexpected news
Angel had a sigh of relief after learning some unexpected news. The new addition to The Real Housewives of Durban had spoken candidly about her fertility struggles on the show. The sensitive topic was even shared with the other ladies, and they empathised with her. But now it seems like everything is in order.
On the recent episode of the hit reality series, Angel visited a gynaecologist after getting enough strength to do so. She was accompanied by her best friend of five years, Mandisa, her support system.
In shambles
When asked to give her background, she told the gynae: “When I started using contraceptives I found that I bled for quite some time. I would have clots, my doctor found that.” Angel explained that the last time she went to the doctor she was in shambles. “Nobody understands that a strong person like myself, why am I so nervous about this.”

She told the gynae that she’s not sure if this is something she wants to do. She elaborated: “Also pressures with age, you know, seeing your peers have kids and stuff. I think that’s probably the thing that affects me the most. Hopefully today will produce clarity for me and that will lead me in a direction even mentally.”
No more sadness for Angel
They then went to the exam room where everything was checked. The doctor told her: “From what I’m seeing ... everything looks fine. There are areas where you can see that there probably were some fibroids. Currently it’s normal.”
Angel, who admitted that she was scared, revealed: “Now I’m relieved.”

She added: “I did not expect that news. I did not expect that I was okay. And more than anything, I wasted so much time being sad and allowing that thing to affect my life the way it did.”
On the second episode of the show, Angel explained how she ended up with fertility issues.“In 2018, I discovered that I have lumps in my breast. Thank God it was not cancer, it was actually Fibro Proliferative Breast Disease. Moving on from that, I started being active.” She shared that she started taking contraceptives. “Everybody knows that inevitably, contraceptives will affect your fertility. From that I got blood clots, I would go on my period for days on end.”
