5 new international series coming to Showmax in 2025

No matter how 2025 goes, one thing is certain: you’ll be able to escape into some amazing shows.

Here are five international series that Showmax is particularly looking forward to:

The White Lotus S3 | Express from the US from 17 February

The White Lotus S3 on Showmax

Winner of 15 Emmys, The White Lotus returns for a third instalment following a new group of guests at another White Lotus hotel, this time in Thailand.

Once again written and directed by Mike White, this season’s star-studded cast includes Emmy nominees Carrie Coon, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, and Walton Goggins, Teen Choice nominees Leslie Bibb and Patrick Schwarzenegger, Critics Choice nominee Michelle Monaghan, and BAFTA winner Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education), one of IMDb’s Top Stars To Watch in 2025. Natasha Rothwell also returns to her Emmy-nominated Season 1 role as Belinda.

As TimeOut says, “Much as we’ll all miss Jennifer Coolidge – RIP Tanya – the third run of White Lotus should be February’s most talked-about telly.”

The White Lotus S3 will be coming to both M-Net and Showmax from 17 February, express from the US. While you wait, binge the first two seasons on Showmax now.

Yellowjackets S3 | First on Showmax | February

The third season of the Emmy-nominated series continues to explore the harrowing survival story of the high school women’s soccer team who crashed in the wilderness in 1996.

Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) and Critics Choice nominee Joel McHale (Community) join this season’s cast, which also sees Melanie Lynskey and Christina Ricci return to their Emmy-nominated roles.

Yellowjackets S1 was the second-most streamed series in Showtime’s history.

Suits: LA | Express from the US from 24 February

NBC’s Suits was the most streamed series in the world in 2023, so it’s no surprise we’re now getting a spinoff from the original series creator, Aaron Korsh, or that it’s in the top 10 on IMDb’s Most Anticipated New TV list for 2025.

Teen Choice winner Stephen Amell (Arrow) stars in Suits: LA as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.

Gabriel Macht returns to the franchise to guest star as Harvey Specter, while new cast include

Josh McDermitt (Eugene in The Walking Dead).

Suits: LA will be coming to both M-Net and Showmax from 24 February, express from the US. There’s no trailer yet. While you wait, binge all nine seasons of the original Suits on Showmax now.

The Last of Us S2 | Express from the US from April

The Last Of Us on Showmax

Last year, The Last of Us won seven Critics Choice Super Awards, including Best Horror and Best Superhero, as well as Best Actor (Pedro Pascal), Actress (Bella Ramsey) and Villain (Melanie Lynskey), not to mention eight Emmys, including Guest Actor and Actress prizes for Murray Bartlett and Storm Reid.

Five years after the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.

New cast include Oscar nominee Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction), Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek), Emmy nominees Kaitlyn Dever (Unbelievable) and Young Mazino (Beef), and Ariela Barer, Danny Ramirez, Isabela Merced and Tati Gabrielle, four of IMDb’s Top Stars To Watch in 2025.
