Civil War (2024)
From Oscar-nominated writer-director Alex Garland (Ex Machina), Civil War journeys across a dystopian future America, following a team of military-embedded journalists as they race against time to reach DC before rebel factions descend on the White House.
The #23 biggest box office hit of 2024 (so far), the A24 film stars Oscar nominee Kirsten Dunst, Golden Globe nominees Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus, Priscilla) and Wagner Moura (Narcos), and Black Reel nominee Stephen McKinley Henderson (Dune: Part One). Also look out for Sonoya Mizuno (House of the Dragon) and Emmy winner Nick Offerman (The Last of Us).
Civil War has an 81% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with AVClub hailing it as “a provocative, thrilling monster of a movie that will sear itself into your eyeballs.”
