Gallery: Best red carpet looks from the SAFTAs
The 18th annual South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) was a night to remember, celebrating the finest film and television talent in South Africa at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.
The main awards ceremony followed the SAFTAs Craft Awards held on Friday, October 25, which recognized technical excellence in the film and television industry. This year’s theme, “Back to Basics,” evoked nostalgia, highlighting the rich history of South African storytelling.
Hosted by comedian Skhumba Hlophe and media personality Lerato Kganyago, the event was filled with energy and entertainment, featuring sign language interpreters for the first time, which made it more inclusive. The fabulous Nomalanga Shozi and the dashing Kat Sinivasan hosted the exclusive red carpet coverage, interviewing celebrities and capturing their stunning looks. Showmax stars truly stood out, showcasing their unique styles and making a significant impact.
