Second Family Season 2 episode 9-10 recap: More shocking scandals
From cocktail parties to hospital corridors, Second Family delivered all the drama and intrigue we’ve come to expect from our favourite Showmax Original telenovela. If you missed it, here’s the Second Family recap for episodes 9 and 10.
Glamour and guile at the gala

The week kicks off with a glitzy gala, but behind Leo and Evangeline's smiles lies a web of deceit. Evangeline, hoping for divorce, is running out of options.
Bett's heart-wrenching struggle

Bett, once a keen runner, battles despair after the shooting shattered his dreams of becoming a professional athlete. His wheelchair-bound existence becomes a symbol of Leo's betrayal and he rejects his father’s attempts at reconciliation, while Evangeline fights for his physical - and mental - recovery, pushing for physiotherapy.
Cyrus continues to give Gigi the cold shoulder

Gigi's desperate attempts to salvage her marriage meet an ice-cold reception from Cyrus. His rejection leaves her heart in tatters.
Suspicion and secrets in the Syndicate
Within the Syndicate, doubt surrounds Leo's amnesia story. Leo plays a cunning game as he seeks re-admittance into the secret society, and uses their secrets against them, swaying the Syndicate's vote in his favour.
Leo brings his children into the family business

Leo strong-arms Tehi, Gigi and Shei into working at EAGC by threatening their trust funds. He has them run menial errands to learn about the family business from the bottom up, and they’re not happy about it!
Shei’s shocking discovery

Despite Detective Beryl searching for Sinde, she is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Shei stumbles upon Sinde in the hospital, where she lies in a coma. Instead of letting the family know that her adoptive sister is alive, Shei makes a dark decision and unplugs Sinde’s life support machines … until she’s caught in the act by Dora!
It’s a cliffhanger ending that sets the stage for even more scandal and shock revelations, so don’t miss next week’s episodes of Second Family on Showmax! New episodes land every Thursday and Friday.
