Showmax Presents Tyla red carpet hosts: Kat Sinivasan, Moozlie
Update: The Tyla homecoming concert is no longer on Showmax. Find something else to stream here.
The countdown is on as South Africa and 43 other African countries get ready to stream and experience Grammy Award-winning artist Tyla’s homecoming concert live on Showmax.com on Saturday, 18 January. To maximise the excitement for users, Showmax will also be streaming the Tyla Red Carpet Experience and has announced Kat Sinivasan and Moozlie as the red carpet hosts.
Kat and Moozlie are no strangers to the red carpet given their extensive hosting experience, both on the ground and on-screen. With close to two decades of presenting both local and international events, Kat and Moozlie are guaranteed to give streamers quality content and the low-down on who’s walking the red carpet.
Having jump-started his career in the reality show Famous in 2006, Kat has since become a globally recognised presenter, having hosted red carpet events for E! Entertainment Television interviewing A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Bravo’s Housewives, Victoria Beckham and many others. With a Showmax live event of this scale, best believe that viewers will get to enjoy his flair as he interviews all your favourite Showmax personalities.
Kat says: “I’m thrilled to be hosting the Tyla Red Carpet! Tyla is an absolute powerhouse of talent and creativity, with her captivating vocals and mesmerising stage presence. She’s not just an artist; she’s a force, constantly pushing boundaries and inspiring fans worldwide. Get ready for an unforgettable experience as we bring her energy and excitement to Showmax. It’s going to be pure magic.”

After she won the MTV Base VJ Search in 2012, viewers fell in love with Moozlie’s quirky personality. She expanded her creative horizons by tapping into music as a rapper and won her first South African Hip Hop Award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist in 2018. Moozlie recently hosted the green carpet alongside Nigerian media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu for the Annual Earthshot Prize event in South Africa, where she interviewed the likes of Winnie Harlow, Heidi Klum, Billy Porter, Nina Dobrev and Robert Irwin.
“As a pretty girl from Joburg myself, there is nowhere in the world I’d rather be! I absolutely love Tyla and I can’t wait to take SA music and culture to a whole new level with her, and all the Tygers live from Showmax’s red carpet right here in Mzansi!” says Moozlie.

Red carpet guests on the night include well-known faces from your favourite shows, including cast from The Real Housewives franchises, Adulting, and Youngins as well as sports stars, musicians and artists coming out in force to support Tyla as Showmax beams her final homecoming concert live across the African continent.
Showmax subscribers are encouraged to check that they have the latest version of the Showmax app, and sign up or log in early, so they’re ready to “Push2Start” at 8.30 pm when the red carpet stream begins.
