Terms and Conditions (South Africa)
The “Showmax Stories/Social Media 2-for-1 Voucher Campaign” (hereinafter referred to as the “Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign”) terms and conditions specified below are supplementary to the Showmax terms and conditions - South Africa and Lesotho and apply to the use of Showmax during the Campaign Period (12-30 September 2022).
Please read these terms and conditions carefully.
1. General Information
1.1. The Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign is applicable in South Africa and is in relation to the Showmax Standard Subscription Plan (hereinafter referred to as the “Showmax Subscription”).
1.2. The Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign is a time-limited offer which applies within the Campaign Period and is linked to a noteworthy discount on Showmax Subscriptions.
1.3. The Campaign Period is the period 12-30 September 2022.
1.4. You can enjoy the Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign by subscribing to Showmax during the Campaign Period.
1.5. Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign customers are eligible for a Showmax Service free trial (“Free Trial”) if they use a debit card, Paypal, MTN, Vodacom or Telkom as their payment method.
1.6. The Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign applies to new Showmax customers using a valid payment instrument/method; and customers who are eligible as stated in 2. Eligibility.
2. Eligibility
The Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign is available to customers who meet one of the following requirements:
2.1. Customers who have never used or subscribed to the Showmax Service;
2.2. Existing Showmax Service customers who have never saved or added a payment instrument on their Showmax Service account; who add/save a payment instrument on to their Showmax Service account within the Campaign Period; and pay for the Showmax Service in accordance with these terms and conditions of the Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign.
2.3. Former Showmax Service customers who stopped using the Showmax Service recently/before the commencement of the Campaign can take advantage of the Showmax Stories Social Media Campaign.
2.4. Selected existing Showmax Service customers who subscribed using a valid payment instrument/method.
2.5. Existing Showmax Service customers who upgrade to any of the Showmax Subscriptions in order to enjoy the Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign.
3. Limitations
3.1. Customers are not permitted to simultaneously enjoy the benefits of both the Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign and other available Promo Campaigns.
3.2. One Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign discount per user.
4. Pricing, Payments & Coupon Codes
4.1. The Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign is linked to a noteworthy/special fixed once-off price for Showmax Standard plan:
The pricing recorded is subject to change, as such, any change in the pricing payable for any of the Showmax Subscription shall be brought to your attention on the payment page, before the conclusion of your transaction.
Showmax Service customers get 31 extra days (Free Period) in addition to the prepaid month when they sign up. For instance, if a Showmax Service customer purchases a subscription on 15 September 2022 the free period will start on 15 October 2022 and last until 15 November 2022.
If the customer has selected a recurring payment instrument, there may be an attempt to charge the customer during this period to establish a payment regime. The customer must cancel before this anniversary (in this case, 15 November 2022) in order not to be moved on to a recurring payment regime
4.2. The Showmax Stories/Social Media Campaign is set up for monthly recurring payments by default (if you have selected a recurring payment instrument) unless you opted out. Certain payment methods do not support the opt-out option from the recurring payments, in such cases in order to prevent monthly recurring payments you need to unsubscribe before the end of the Campaign Period.

5. Miscellaneous
5.1. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to determine whether you are eligible for the Showmax Stories Campaign.
5.2. Unless otherwise stated, Showmax terms and conditions - South Africa and Lesotho shall remain in full force and effect with regard to the Showmax service.
5.3. In case of a discrepancy between these terms and Showmax terms and conditions - South Africa and Lesotho, the provisions of these terms will prevail.
5.4. Unless otherwise extended, this version of the Showmax Service Terms and Conditions applies for the Campaign Period.
5.5. We reserve the right at any time and for any reason to terminate the Showmax Stories Campaign.
