The Real Housewives of Lagos S3 brings new friends and old fights
If you know Lagos ladies, they don’t just show up – they show out! The premiere episode of The Real Housewives of Lagos Season 3 had everything we love: stunning entrances, subtle shades, simmering tensions, and of course, the debut of two new Housewives who came to slay.
Here’s everything that went down.
Meet Dabota and Diiadem – two queens, two vibes
If there’s one thing we love, it’s a grand entrance, and Dabota Lawson and Diiadem delivered in style.
Diiadem, the CEO of Beauty by AD, let us in on her life, revealing her journey as a single mum raising a six-year-old daughter. “I was never married, just engaged to the father of my child,” she also hints at her dark side by subtly warning, “Don’t look for my trouble.”
Dabota, aka the “Queen of Queens,” is here to command respect. “You don’t have to like me. You don’t have to love me. But you must respect me,” she says. Dabota also reveals her reservations about Laura, stemming from an old post on Laura’s sister’s blog. But she’s ready to give Laura a chance – no grudges, just vibes.
Laura and Mariam meet – and the past comes knocking
The season also opens with Laura Ikeji and Mariam Timmer catching up over lunch. Laura wastes no time – she’s got an event to plan and needs Mariam’s PR magic to bring in “people that will bring money” and buy her products. But things take a turn when Laura brings up Toyin Lawani, Mariam’s former bestie turned sworn enemy, with recaps of their fight rehashed.
Mariam shuts it down swiftly. “There are some conversations I do not want to have,” she stated and went on to say “and that name is one of them,” she quips in her diary session. Mariam is done, and Toyin isn’t getting back on her radar anytime soon.
Carolyna wants an apology, but so does Laura
Carolyna Hutchings is back, and she’s as regal as ever. During a conversation with her friend Elizabeth, she revisits the messy feud with Laura from Season 1. The allegations were heavy on both sides.
Years later, Carolyna wants an apology, but Laura feels the same way. “The fact that the allegations were made at all put me in a tough spot with my family,” Laura admits. Can these two finally bury the hatchet? Only time will tell.
Dabota and Diiadem give us friendship goals
One of the highlights of the episode was the budding friendship between Dabota and Diiadem. When the two meet at Laura’s event, their connection is instant. Banter flows, smiles are exchanged, and for a moment, it feels like peace could actually reign this season.
The fashion stole the show
Lagos fashionistas know how to make an entrance, and episode 1 served looks for days. Dabota stunned in an Erica Moore dress paired with an Hermès Kelly clutch, while Diiadem turned heads in a custom piece by Emagine by Bukola. Carolyna, not one to be outdone, gave Bridgerton vibes in a Tonia Luchi gown.
The drama is just getting started
With Mariam prying, Laura planning, and Carolyna and Dabota setting the stage for potential showdowns, RHOLagos Season 3 is shaping up to be the most dramatic yet. Will friendships blossom or crumble? And what secrets will the new Housewives reveal?
