Terms & Conditions

1. The Offer

1.1 Stay active on the Showmax General Entertainment Mobile plan or the Showmax General Entertainment All Devices plan and watch two separate titles for 90 minutes (excluding Big Brother Naija or related titles) in total to get an additional month’s subscription of the same Showmax subscription plan at no cost (“Offer”).
1.2 This Offer is conducted by Showmax Africa Holdings Limited (“Showmax”).

2. Eligibility

2.1 To participate in the Offer, you must:

2.1.1 Be an active General Entertainment Mobile or General Entertainment All Devices customer residing in Ghana.
2.1.2 Watch two separate titles for 90 minutes in total (e.g. 60 minutes of title one and 30 minutes of title two — not 90 minutes of the same title. This excludes Big Brother Naija and related titles.)
2.1.3 Accept Showmax’s invitation to take up the Offer, as detailed below:

2.1.3.1 The invitation by Showmax will be made via email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notification and/or phone call.
2.1.3.2 You may accept the Offer between 00:00 hours 22 September and 23:59 hours 31 October 2025 (“Offer Period”).

3. Offer Terms and Conditions

3.1 Eligible customers will automatically be upgraded to enjoy the additional plan.
3.2 Subject to system dependencies, the plan upgrade may be effected within 72 hours of acceptance of the Offer.
3.3 If the upgrade is not effected, Showmax will endeavour to effect the upgrade within the shortest possible time following notification by you.

4. Standard Terms and Conditions for Offers

4.1 Your participation in the Offer constitutes your binding acceptance of the terms and conditions.

4.2 The Offer is not open to:

4.2.1 Directors, members, partners, agents, employees or consultants of the MultiChoice Group of companies.
4.2.2 The spouse, life partner, business partner or associate, or the natural or adopted parent, child or sibling of any of the persons specified in paragraph 4.2.1 above.

4.3 The Offer is not transferable and may not be deferred, changed or exchanged for cash or any other item.
4.4 Save as stated herein, we do not make any representations or give any warranties, whether expressly or implicitly, as to the Offer.
4.5 We will not be responsible and disclaim all liability for any loss, liability, injury, expense or damage (whether direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential) of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, which is suffered by your participation in the Offer. If any liability is imputed to us, such liability will be limited to the value of your subscription.
4.6 You, and in the event of your death, your family, dependents, heirs, assignees or any other beneficiaries of your estate, indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim by you (whether direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential) of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, relating to any injury, loss, liability, expense and/or damage which you may suffer, howsoever arising, in relation to your participation in this Offer.
4.7 We shall not be liable for any failure to comply with our obligations where the failure is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
4.8 We may cede, assign or novate any or all of our rights and/or any or all of our obligations set out herein to any person or entity without notice to you.
4.9 If you fail to comply with any of these terms and conditions, then without prejudice to any other remedy which we may have, you will be automatically disqualified, and you will forfeit the Offer.
4.10 The failure by us to enforce any of the rights or provisions of the Offer or these terms and conditions will not be deemed to be a waiver of such right or provision.
4.11 These terms and conditions will be construed, interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
