What happens on each day inside the Big Brother Naija House?
Every day in Big Brother House is pregnant with drama. Some are random, but most come from the house’s programmed activities. Let’s dive into them.
Head of House and Nomination Day
When: Mondays
Two events set the mood for the week in Biggie’s house: The Head of House game and Nominations. The winner of the HOH game governs the house, is free from eviction and will live in the exclusive head of house room for a week.
After the HOH games, the housemates nominate two housemates for possible eviction. This often defines the house’s tone as nominated housemates up their game to appeal to voters or retreat into their shells out of fear of uncertainty.
Diary Sessions
When: Tuesdays
Staying in the Big Brother House with strangers you must bond with while competing against them can be mentally tough. The housemates often need an outlet for their emotions. This is where the dairy sessions come in.
It is a form of therapy for the contestants; they open up to Big Brother in a way they wouldn’t with fellow housemates. We see them in their most vulnerable during these sessions, talking about their fears, treatment by their fellow housemates and how they generally feel.
The sessions usually happen on Tuesdays, but Biggie can call housemates anytime for a session.
Sponsors’ Tasks
When: Tuesdays to Fridays

Biggie gives the housemates a task to test their creativity, intellect, or social skills between Tuesday and Friday. This task could be play, debate or an art showcase. The winners are rewarded with Abeg money to shop or actual money from sponsors.
Friday’s Jacuzzi Party
When: Friday nights
While Monday sets the tone for the week, Friday sets the tone for the weekend with the Jacuzzi party.
Saturday’s Party
When: Saturday nights

Saturday nights are for parties and getting lit. Big Brother invites a DJ to party with the housemates. It is a fan favourite; we dance and drink along. You do not want to miss the Saturday night party because your ship may just decide to go official with a kiss or more.
Sunday’s Eviction
When: Sunday nights

Sunday nights are bittersweet. The housemates look their finest (of course, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu outshines everyone), but must also watch at least one of them leave the house. And evictions always leave them teary.
