Wura Season 1 episodes 77-80 recap: “Wura framed me for murder”
“That girl is trouble,” Labake, her head covered in bandages from Kanyinsola’s attack in last week’s episodes of Wura, expresses her frustration towards Kanyin to Wura, describing her as disrespectful and troublesome.
“Labake, I am sorry you got dragged into this,” Wura apologises. “The bail hearing is today, and I don’t know whether I want to drop the charges or not. I don’t want her thinking it is okay.”
For someone as immoral and diabolical as Wura, she often portrays herself as morally superior. Kanyin is badly behaved, but Wura cannot pass judgment. Lolu agrees. While begging his mom to drop the charges against Kanyinsola, he mentions, “It is not like you haven’t made any mistakes.”
Later at the office, Wura confronts Jeje about Dimeji’s unjust dismissal. Jeje responds nonchalantly, frustrating Wura, who berates him and demands that he rectify the situation. Jeje immediately visits Paulina’s bar to offer Dimeji his job back, while Mide also seeks forgiveness from Paulina for his altercation with her brother. Paulina handles both men accordingly.

Dimeji gets his job back
Jeje, displaying his naive overconfidence, tries to offer Dimeji his job back with the expectation of gratitude. However, Paulina challenges him, pointing out the disrespect shown to her brother after years of hard work for the mine. She insists on compensation in the form of a salary increase, leading Jeje to agree.
To Paulina’s surprise, Jeje suggests a paltry amount, but Paulina demands double. She then threatens to involve the union, which would cost the company more, forcing Jeje to double the amount again.
Mide finally accepts Dimeji
Mide observes Paulina’s manipulation of Jeje and her praise for her brother, which indirectly serves as a reminder for him to get his life together instead of trying to ruin Tumi and Dimeji’s relationship.
So he initiates amends by explaining his actions to Paulina, sincerely apologising for his behaviour and emphasising his responsibility to protect Tumi as the head of the family. After some back and forth, Paulina forgives him, driven by her soft spot for Mide and his ability to melt her heart with his words.
Next, Mide apologises to Dimeji and Tumininu after overhearing their expressions of love for each other.
“I can see that the two of you really love each other, and I actually get jealous,” he acknowledges their genuine affection for each other. “My sister is a very good girl. So I am warning you, if you ever break her heart, I will rip your heart out of your chest.”
He warns Dimeji while also giving his blessings on their union.
Kanyinsola unites with Wura’s archenemy
Last week, Kanyinsola’s prisoner friend revealed himself as Fola Duduyemi, the co-founder of the Frontline Gold Mine. Wura framed him for murder so she could keep the company to herself. After spending 15 years in prison, he wants his pound of flesh.
Upon receiving the news that Wura has dropped the charges, Kanyinsola informs Fola, stating her intention to return to Lagos and continue her life away from her stepmother.
However, Fola proposes a more intriguing idea — revenge against Wura. He seeks Kanyinsola’s assistance in defeating Wura.
“I can’t do it alone. I will need the help of someone who is equally furious at Wura, someone who is not willing to lie down and get walked on the way Wura walks on everyone. Are you that person, Kanyinsola — can you help me to defeat Wura Adeleke?”.
