BBNaija Season 7 week 7: Bella and Rachel fight over food, ships on shaky ground
Sapa is real and this week, it dealt a heavy hand to the BBNaija Level Up housemates.
There’s never a dull moment in Biggie’s house, and over the past few days, we saw the second reign of Abacha with Hermes as Head of House (HoH). We also saw the Shella ship sinking, Groovy and Phyna’s ship on ice, intense food wars between housemates, and a lot more.
Here are the highlights of what went down in the BBNaija Level Up house this week.
Hermes wins Head of House for a second time this season
This week’s HoH game had the housemates literally fishing for the HoH title. The game was divided into two rounds with Chomzy, Chichi, Eloswag, and Hermes emerging as finalists from the first round.
The finalists took multiple turns during the second round, till Hermes got the fish with the inscription “HoH.” Hermes earned immunity from possible eviction, veto power, and access to the HoH lounge. His first task as HoH saw him pick Allysyn as his deputy. We also saw him exercise his veto power as per Biggie’s instruction, opting to save Adekunle from the lineup of eviction nominees and replace him with Bryann.

Sheggz and Bella break up – then make up
As Toke Makinwa often asks on The Buzz, “how do we solve a problem like Bella and Sheggz?”.
It is old news that Sheggz has been complaining about Bella’s attitude, but this week he told Doyin, aka Shella’s relationship counsellor, that he was no longer interested in the relationship.
Unresolved issues plus Bella’s dance with Chichi during the Saturday night party was what led Big Sheggz to finally call for a break-up. He also told Doyin “even if you beg me I will not get back with her. This girl is psycho.” Bella got really upset by his words, and responded “why can’t you just leave me alone?”.
We wonder oh!
Back and forth they went to the listening ears of Doyin, from Sheggz calling Bella a dog, to Bella shouting “leave me”, the pair went all in. Bella finally broke down in tears, and like clockwork, Sheggz went to profess his undying love to her. They kissed and all was well again in Shella land – till the next round of bickering.
Talk about manipulation at its peak.
Doyin and Chizzy fight over her interference with Shella
Now Doyin and Chizzy are a pair we didn’t see coming, but here we are. The flirtatious duo had a minor fallout because Chizzy cautioned Doyin from constantly getting involved in Shella’s argument. This did not sit well with Doyin, who explained that she was minding her business when Sheggz approached her.
“I finished taking my bath and was in the room. I didn’t even know what happened, he came to me. What was I to do in that situation?”.
She kept explaining to Chizzy that her fellow housemates are the ones who involve her in their problems whenever they need advice. She also told Bryann that she was being unfairly judged by other housemates.
Wahala for relationship counsellor.
Groophy on shaky grounds
Next to Shella, Groovy and Phyna may be seen as a mostly unproblematic ship in the BBNaija house, but there’s always trouble lurking in Biggie’s house.
Lately, the couple have been battling several underlying issues, with Phyna always making the reconciliatory moves. But this week, our girl had it. Speaking with Bella, she shared that she was tired of being the first to apologise whenever she and Groovy have an argument.
The couple have been known to cook and eat together, but this week Groovy prepared his own meal and ate alone. He also went ahead to pack his belongings from the locker they both share, and has moved to a separate bed, upsetting Phyna even more.
Will the pair be able to move past their differences? We’ll be watching.
Bella and Rachel fight over chicken
Is a week complete in the BBNaija house if there’s no fight over food? Certainly not.
This week saw Bella aka Mrs Ikoyi and Rachel throw it down over food, not forgetting, Sheggz aka Mr Ikoyi’s supporting role in the throwdown.
Trouble started when Rachel, who cooked for the housemates, gave Bella chicken while dishing food for the housemates. Bella, who apparently doesn’t eat chicken, insisted that she wanted beef. Rachel then said she would have to wait as Groovy had already expressed his interest in the beef and there were only three pieces. Soon after, Bella lost her cool and walked away while Sheggz took on the attack. Things quickly went downhill and ended with Bella throwing the food all over the table, and Sheggz swearing on his mother’s life that Rachel will “beg me before December”.
