BBNaija Season 7 week 9: Groovy makes a confession
With the BBNaija Level Up season just days away from the end, the drama continues with the housemates delivering the gbas gbos, relationship palaver, and everything in between.
Here are the highlights of what went down in Biggie’s house this week.
Chichi makes top 5 as she wins Head of House
After an intense Head of House (HoH) challenge that had the Level Up housemates, except incumbent HoH Phyna, screaming and sweating, Chichi won the HoH for week 9.
The win came loaded with the ultimate veto power to save two housemates, earning them and herself a secured spot in the season finale.
Chichi saves Daniella and Phyna
Biggie with his neverending twists and turns took the nomination process to another
level. Following the HoH game, Biggie gave the housemates 90 seconds each to pitch themselves to HoH Chichi for a chance to be saved.
Instead of pitching, housemates like Bryann and Chizzy advised Chichi not to make an emotional decision, while other housemates like Sheggz and Hermes tried to entice her by letting her know they are fully behind her as their new leader.
Leaving HoH Chichi in an awkward position, she finally chose her roomie Phyna, and Daniella. Daniella had presented an emotional pitch, asking her to “add some shine to her week”, while Phyna showered Chichi with praises, ending with “I am in your hands.”
Bella and Chichi butt heads during their Wager task practice
Bella has made it her life’s mission to cause trouble during Wager task practice or meetings and this week was no different.
During their practice, Bella interrupted Chichi twice when she was still speaking, which got Chichi upset. She then informed Bella how she felt and an argument ensued. Bella went on to call Chichi an “empty head,” claiming that Chichi had no idea of what it meant to be the HoH.
As usual, brother Sheggz decided to jump to Bella’s defence but was quickly put in his place by Chichi, who asked him not to meddle.
Rachel wants Adekunle out of the game
Adekunle seems to have suddenly appeared on Rachel’s hit list this week in the wake of his newfound interest in Daniella.
During their conversation in the garden, Rachel addressed Adekunle’s response to Ebuka’s question during the eviction show, about Adekunle giving love lyrics to Daniella. Rachel then told him she felt disrespected by him for expressing his feelings to another woman, after expressing an interest in her.
In an attempt to end the long conversation, Adekunle asked Rachel if she liked him, and she said no. He responded with “case closed.”
Following that conversation, when asked to choose a housemate she would love to evict during her Diary Session, she chose Adekunle, saying she doesn’t understand him “these days.”
Chichi carries out “best friend” duties
During the week, Chichi decided to interrogate Groovy on his feelings about Chomzy, and it led to a
shaking revelation.
In their conversation, Groovy admitted to Chichi that he would have gone after Chomzy if he was not involved with Phyna, adding that he only had the opportunity to speak to Chomzy about his feelings when he and Phyna had started to develop “something.”
He also told Chichi that Phyna was currently frustrating him, and he would not tolerate her behaviour outside the house.
Groovy has caused a ruckus amongst the ladies, starting with Beauty, who got disqualified in the second week of the show during a drunken outburst over Groovy dancing with Chomzy. He’s since been connected to Ilebaye, Chomzy and Phyna.
