7 unforgettable moments on Dede Season 2
The second season of the Akwaaba Magic telenovela Dede has stirred conversation and gathered maximum steam for its ardent fanbase following the plot twists and suspense that has come to be associated with the telenovela.
After serving TV lovers with a 260-episode season one filled with topsy-turvy surprises, the beloved Ghanaian telenovela is getting better with every episode.
Directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso, Dede follows a naive but brilliant young woman who finds her way up the corporate ladder after starting off as a house help.
As Dede decides to punch above her weight in her quest to get revenge, one can only anticipate the tension that would brew and hope she does not come tumbling down and lose everything she has worked hard for so far.
Dede boasts of a star-studded Ghanaian cast made up of both the old and new school like Adomaa Adjeman, Joselyn Dumas (Ghana Jollof), Adjetey Anang (To Have and To Hold), Anita Erskine, Gloria Sarfo, Lydia Forson (To Have and To Hold), and Dean Amegashie, with Ghanaian favourite Chris Attoh joining season 2.

1. Dede plans a hostile takeover of the Robertson empire, S2 E1
After hearing Rama Robertson’s decision to name her son Michael as her successor for Robertson Construction, Dede decides to make her ambition clear – challenge Michael for the CEO position. As she decides to put all her cards on the table, Dede risks losing everything including her love for Michael for a chance to become the boss.
2. A hostage situation turns bloody, S2E6
Osa storms Robertson Construction and disrupts a board meeting to demand a parcel of land he believes the Robertsons stole from him. He holds everyone in the boardroom at gunpoint until his demands are met. The resolves of Dede, Michael and Patrick are put to the test as they try to de-escalate the hostage situation. But things get out of hand and Osa ends up losing his life.
3. Patrick is made CEO of Robertson Construction, S2E9
Rama Robertson surprises everyone by naming Patrick the acting CEO while Dede and Michael take time to work on their egos in preparation to lead Robertson Construction. This decision puts Patrick in pole position to take over Robertson Construction.
4. Alice and Jane go missing, S2E31
Everyone gets worked up when Alice and Jane go missing after they return from school. They are finally found on a boat and are safely returned home after Herman makes a mystery phone call.
5. Belinda sabotages Mr Robertson’s political ambition, S2E39
Belinda uses her scheming ways to disrupt Mr Robertson’s campaign and manages to tilt the odds in her favour. She wins the trust of a must-win community, jeopardising Mr Robertson’s chances of winning the seat. In exchange for power, Belinda gets a chance to join Mr Robertson’s campaign team which invariably extends her stay in the Robertson family.
6. Michael and Mansa get married, S2E61
Everyone was rooting for Dede to get married to Michael, the love of her life, but that does not happen to the disappointment of many. Michael gets married to Mansa instead, and Dede surprisingly shows up at the wedding to show that Michael and Mansa had her blessing.
7. Dede is shot, S2E64
Dede is shot by someone who was targeting Joyce while paying her a visit in her restaurant. Fortunately, Michael shows up at the right time to take Dede to the hospital.
