BBNaija Season 7: Groovy, Sheggz and Hermes have left the building!
…and then they were six!
With barely a week to the BBNaija S7 finale, Groovy, Sheggz and Hermes have got the boot from the Level Up house with Adekunle, Bella, Bryann, Chichi, Daniella and Phyna emerging as finalists in the race for 100 million naira.
Riders Chizzy and Rachel also remain in the house, but as was revealed earlier in the season, the pair will not compete for the money but merely stay in the house till the end.
In case you missed it, here’s all that went down in one of the most significant Sunday live eviction shows of BBNaija S7.
A sprinkle of vawulence
As usual, things started off with the much-anticipated Q&A session between Ebuka and the housemates.
He started with Head of House (HoH) Chichi, asking if her brushes with her housemates was characteristic of her leadership style or if the problem was the housemates.
Chichi responded that maybe it was the wrong time for her to win the HoH, given that everyone is under pressure.
“It’s the finale,” she added.
Ebuka then moved to Chizzy, asking about the altercation he had with Phyna, where she said he has been trying to come for herself and Groovy.
“What did they do to you? Or is she wrong?” Ebuka asked.
Chizzy replied saying, “Help me ask her Ebuka. She no do anything oh.”
He added that perhaps he had been misunderstood and Phyna had taken to heart something he had said to her a long time ago. Chizzy went further to apologise to Phyna during the show.
The next housemate Ebuka moved to was Bryann, saying, “I feel like I’ve seen two Bryanns on this show. One in Level 2 and one post-merger, what changed for you?”
After appearing to ponder the question, Bryann responded that he had been himself throughout, but since there was a change of environment following the merger, he had to adapt to the environment.
The Q&A session ended with Daniella as Ebuka said he would like to hear from her, having heard from the three men in her life – Khalid, Dotun and Adekunle. Ebuka then asked where she stands as regards the men. Daniella replied that she stands with herself for sure. Probing further, Ebuka asked if she stood with Khalid, to which she replied that they’d have to have a conversation outside the house. When quizzed about Dotun and Adekunle, however, she gave an emphatic no.
Eviction time
With the questions out of the way, Ebuka went straight in to call the first evicted housemate – Groovy. A shocked Phyna kept exclaiming “Jesus!” while he said his goodbyes.
In his post-eviction chat with Ebuka, Groovy declared that his relationship with Phyna was serious.
“I just feel like from the moment we moved to Level 1, it was like new energy, new vibe, new space,” he said while explaining how he came to settle with Phyna.
The next housemate to exit the house was Big Sheggz, who received a seriously lukewarm response from the audience.
When asked what he was going to do to prove to people that his relationship with Bella was genuine, Sheggz replied: “I don’t think I have to prove anything. That’s my baby, I think time will tell.”
The final eviction for the night was Hermes, and when Ebuka asked if his switch in the house was because of the merger or Allysyn, Hermes responded that it was a bit of both, and he had to adjust to the merger, and Allysyn, whom he cared about.
Ebuka went further to ask if Allysyn was now a part of the family and Hermes replied that they would talk about it, and see how it goes.
With one more week until the winner of BBNaija Season 7 is revealed, follow the housemates 24/7 via the live stream on Showmax.
