Brain Surgeons: Between Life and Death

How do our brains make us who we are? The two-part first season of Brain Surgeons: Between Life and Death follows patients undergoing life-changing brain surgery at one of Britain’s foremost neurosurgical units. In every operation, surgeons are hoping to save a life. But they are also entering one of the most mysterious places on Earth – the inside of our heads. 

Using detailed computer-generated graphics and animations of the patient’s real MRI scans, the films reveal how the specific functions of the patients’ brains have been affected, bringing this strange and complex world to life in a more vivid way than ever before.
