Captain Fantastic (2016)
Ben Cash and his wife, Leslie, have raised their six children in the wilderness, away from cities and convention. But when she commits suicide, Ben is forced to reevaluate everything he thought he knew about his family.
Leslie’s father is convinced the children are missing out on a proper education, while Ben is determined to bring them up to be free spirits. The disagreement splits the family and sends them into a bitter custody battle.
Viggo Mortensen stars as Ben, while Frank Langella (Kidding) is his father-in-law, Jack. Kathryn Hahn (Transparent) and Steve Zahn (Treme) round out the cast.
The London Evening Standard said: “Captain Fantastic is a powerful weepie with a career-high turn from Viggo Mortensen as a hippy father driving his six children to the funeral of their mother.”
