Die Heuwels Fantasties: Live in Lockdown
So 2020 was a dumpster fire you don’t want to remember. But some good did come of the COVID-19-induced lockdown – local rockers Die Heuwels Fantasties used the downtime to write new music. The end product: their new album “2021”. And you can stream the “live” album launch from your couch.
And don’t think it’s one or two songs, either – the five-man band will have you air-drumming and air-guitaring for a solid 84 minutes as they belt out all 20 of their new tunes. They’re not alone either, inviting fellow rockers like Francois Van Coke, Jack Parow, Arno Carstens and Tarryn Lamb to help celebrate the cyber concert.
The audio is top-notch (duh) and the cinematography spins you around the “stage”. Since we can’t get out to live concerts (thanks, again, COVID), if this is the best we’re going to get music-wise, bring on the shows in 20-20-fun! A great watch if you’re a band fan or you just want to rock out… in your lounge.
