DJ Zinhle The Unexpected: Marriage is not on the cards… yet
When you get into a relationship, the goal is usually to get married, right? Well, that’s what some people want, at least. But for DJ Zinhle, marriage is not a priority right now. While her boyfriend, Murdah Bongz, has been nothing but amazing to her (from what we’ve seen), the media personality is not in a hurry to walk down the aisle.
Doing the right thing
In episode 3 of The Unexpected, streaming on Showmax, the mother of two expressed her views on marriage while having a conversation with Murdah Bongz. He feels that he needs to “do the right thing”, but she’s not ready to take that step.
“You can’t go ahead and make decisions without speaking to me. We don’t have marriage in our plans yet, we don’t have any of those things,” says DJ Zinhle.

She told him that they were under complicated circumstances and that there was a lot to deal with before they could make any kind of commitment. “Our situation is not easy. We have to figure out how you will relate to Kairo’s father, Kairo and Asante. It’s a lot. So we need to take it one step at a time.”
When Bongani mentioned that Zinhle’s parents would be happy about what she had said, the mother of two told him: “Babe, you’re not gonna marry my parents.”
Bongani then brought up the fact that he had asked his girlfriend a while ago whether their relationship existed because she liked the idea of it, or because she was definitely sure about them as a couple.

Saying no to marriage
“I’m sure, but that doesn’t mean I want to get married,” Zinhle said, adding that she felt as though Bongani was pushing the idea.
“Now I see you’re upset about it. I’m not saying I’m not gonna do it, I’m saying I need us to arrive to a decision together. We should not be pushed by a situation or family.”
Zinhle further shared that she wasn’t saying no to marriage with Murdah Bongz, but she was saying “no to marriage generally”.
