Can you feel the heat? The Comedy Central Roast of Khanyi Mbau Brought To You by Showmax saw Mzansi’s celebrities dazzling on the black carpet on 21 July 2022 at Monte Casino.
Actress, TV host, and unapologetic media personality Khanyi Mbau became the first African woman to be subjected to a Comedy Central Roast. The queen of bling sat fearlessly at the top of her throne as comedians and other African celebrities threw jabs.
Comedian and all-round entertainer Mpho Popps, who did an opening set for the Roast of Somizi, had the honour of being Roast Master, and the fact that he has shared a screen with Khanyi Mbau made it a natural fit.
For all those who missed the live performance, the Comedy Central Roast of Khanyi Mbau Brought To You by Showmax will be airing from 21:00 on 8 August 2022 on Comedy Central on DStv as well as on Showmax. The uncut, uncensored Roast will stream only on Showmax from 15 August 2022.
In the meantime, here’s a look at the celebs, panellists and other Mzansi A-listers who attended the Roast live.
The Comedy Central Roast of Khanyi Mbau Brought To You by Showmax premieres on Comedy Central (DStv 122) and on Showmax on 8 August 2022 from 9pm.
