Igiza episode 12 recap: Ransom
Igiza episode 12 kicks off with Chris’ associates moving Ian to a new location. In the last episode, the police raided Chris’ hideout after a tip-off from their inside man, but they were too late, and Chris escaped again. This leads Maureen to believe there’s a mole in their unit, but who could it be?
Last week, Dom promised to avenge the death of his mother by killing Linda. In an attempt to convince him to put aside his vengeance and help rescue Ian, Nicole confronts him in his apartment… with Linda. Dom holds a gun to Linda’s head. This is the moment he will bring justice to his mother, but before he can pull the trigger, Nicole manages to get through to him. “Don’t leave Ian without a mother,” she pleads.
Meanwhile, in prison, another inmate is found dead, executed by Jamila’s gang. Pam, the guard in charge, confronts Jamila in a tense stand-off. If the guards use force, there’ll be another riot. Jamila knows she’s the one with the upper hand. Pam convinces the warden to let her handle the situation her way. She quietly undermines Jamila’s power so that when she meets the ‘overall’ again, she’s at her most vulnerable. It doesn’t take long; Jamila is executed, and the prison is free from her dictatorship. Pam takes a photo of the dead Jamila and sends it to Dom.
It’s a waiting game for the Musilas as they wait to hear from Chris when and where to exchange the money for Ian. But with Dom on their side, Reggie, Linda and Nicole make their own plans to ensure the drop-off goes without a hitch. The call comes through: a time and place is set. A van arrives, and Linda hands over the cash as planned, but they don’t have Ian. Luckily, Dom has placed a tracking device inside the bag of cash, and he and Nicole follow the van to Ian’s location.
Dom and Nicole rescue Ian and make a run for it, but Dom still has some unfinished business. In a twist ending, he betrays Nicole and leaves her on the side of the road as he drives off in the dark… and leaves us on the edge of our seats wanting to know what happens next!
Will all our questions finally be answered in the season finale of Igiza on Monday? Stay tuned to find out.
