INTERVIEW: Bonang on celebrating yourself
If you want to succeed in the entertainment business and are looking for advice on how to thrive in this cut-throat industry. Bonang is probably the best person to get advice from as she’s experienced it all: the good, the bad and the ugly.
You don’t need Bonang’s phone number to call her and ask for advice because what’s interesting about Being Bonang, where we get a glimpse of Queen B*’s behind-the-scenes hustle and the hard work it takes to be a national icon, is the underlying messages each episode conveys. We asked Bonang what she thinks is the most crucial message from the show that she’d like for her supporters to take in and implement in their daily lives.
This is what she had to say:
“I want people to know that it takes lots of hard work, it takes a great team, it takes great support, great friends and it takes time and great respect for other people to succeed. I also want viewers to learn that when you take yourself seriously, and when you celebrate yourself, and you are a person with a good heart and great intentions, life and the universe will open up for you.”

“I want everyone who watches the show to feel inspired, to laugh, to understand the importance of family. I’d like for viewers also to understand the importance of patience and perseverance. To laugh and also celebrate life. I want them to know that anything worth having and if you’re willing to work hard for it, it can happen. But also not to forget to have fun, make people laugh and spread love, make yourself unforgettable by making other people feel great about themselves.”
