Izangoma Zoduma
Izangoma Zodumo, Mzansi Magic’s new reality show, follows two traditional healers as they juggle their calling, social lives and professional careers. Prudence Thandiwe “Ngwe” Magagule and Makgotso “Maweni” Makopo are sangomas with larger-than-life personalities.
Prudence is a 24-year-old professional nurse and mother of one, and Makgotso, 34, is an events planner and a mother of three.
Whatever you thought you knew about traditional healers, this show aims to shatter misconceptions and myths.
“While the show naturally appeals to our younger viewers, it will make for compelling television even to our older market as well. Viewers should get ready to experience storytelling on a whole new level where an ancestral calling intersects with the daily lives and relationships of our main cast members,” says Nomsa Philiso, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net.
