Legacy Season 2: Angelique and Robbie face-off
Previously on Legacy, Robbie Hugo found out he was Sebastian Price’s son, causing him to seek out his long-lost family. Robbie was quickly shut down by Angelique, who dismissed Robbie’s claim to be nothing but lies. Angelique went so far as to go to the Hugo residence and threaten Robbie’s mother, Janet.
At the end of last week we saw Robbie — enraged by this — confronting Angelique about threatening his family. Now, with a new week of drama playing out, we see this fight get more heated.
Claiming his rightful legacy
Using all her legal power, Angelique orders a protection order against the Hugo family, claiming that the Hugos are blackmailing her for money. When Robbie is served the protection order, there is a huge shift in his demeanour. It is clear that Angelique fired the first shot and Robbie is not one to back out of a fight. While Robbie’s intentions with regards to the Price family have never been focused on money, when Angelique declares war, Robbie decides to hit the Prices where it hurts: their pockets.
Interrupting a Price family dinner, Cranston – Robbie’s lawyer and friend – assures more than just dinner is served. Cranston arrives to serve notice on behalf of Robbie that he is suing the Prices for a share of Legacy and of the Price estate, claiming what is his right by birth.
Angelique’s cover-ups
Angelique continues to insist that Robbie is not Sebastian’s son and that she will take care of it. While we all know Angelique is an expert at handling situations affecting her family, we wonder how she will deal with this situation.
Our questions are answered when we see Angelique arrive at the Hugo house to “apologise”. However, this so-called apology goes sour when she tries to buy the family off with R5 million.
While many of us would have jumped at this prospect, Robbie sees it only as a sign that Angelique knows he is Sebastian’s legitimate son. If Angelique is willing to pay that much to buy their silence, we can only imagine how much Robbie’s inheritance amounts to.
Don’t take Angelique on

Janet warns Robbie that while it seems bold to take Angelique on, she has been on the receiving end of Angelique’s malice and ruthlessness, which presents itself when we find out that Angelique has arranged the foreclosure of the Hugo pub as Legacy Investments owns a majority share of the bank managing the account.
The Hugos suffer another attack from Angelique when Cranston tells them that the Prices have responded to Robbie’s legal action by threatening to counter sue unless Robbie accepts Angelique’s offer.
Now, stuck between the hard decision of saving the Hugo pub with the settlement money or going after what is rightfully his, Robbie faces an internal battle. The Hugos inevitably decide to stand their ground. As a first step, Robbie sits down and records a video sharing his truth and exposing the Price family. Where will this video be shared and what will it cost the funding families?
