Prison Break
You may have watched the classic series when it first aired, but there’s so much you’ll have forgotten about genius Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), who tries to break his innocent career criminal brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) out of prison.
It’s dark and intricate second (or third) time round. Whether you want the brothers to escape or you’re rooting for the guards, there’s a side for everyone to choose. It hasn’t aged either, although some of the storylines are a little absurd now that you’re older. The cast draw you in with each episode, and the action is in your face. If someone loses a hand, tough. If one plan fails, there’s another waiting.
Merrill Barr from forbes.com says: “During its original run, [Prison Break] went from being a grounded show with character-driven roots that threw just the right curveball at the right time to keep audiences engaged, to a maddening ride of convoluted conspiracy. The show maintained fans thanks to the strength of its commitment to the ride. Everyone from the writers to the actors committed to the outlandish nature of the show’s later years, and this is where the newest run of episodes squarely lives… and it’s fun to watch.”
