Say what? The River’s Andile engaged to Housekeepers’ Katlego
Did you know that The River star Lunga Mofokeng and Housekeepers actress Lorraine Moropa are an item in real life? Not only do they appear on some of the country’s best-loved television shows, but they also get to share that journey together. And get this: the stars’ relationship is so serious that they’ve decided to take it to the next level – marriage.
We first spotted them as an engaged couple on the red carpet of the DStv Mzansi Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards just a few weeks ago, where Lunga referred to Lorraine as his fiancé. While the news might come as a shock to others, it’s really not a surprise to some of us because when you look at their Instagram pages, you can clearly see how crazy they are about each other.

Lunga, who plays Andile on The River, often shares some of the sweetest messages to his partner on the ‘gram, and Lorraine does the same.
On his birthday a few months ago, she dedicated a beautiful message to him. “Happiest birthday to the love of my life @lungaluchy. My hommie, My bruh! I promise to be less headache from now on moving forward but I also promise to get on your last nerve till I’m no more!!”
It’s quite obvious that these two are more than just lovers, they’re also best friends. There’s nothing more beautiful spending the rest of your life with not only the love of your life, but also your bestie.
Also, what’s better than sharing beautiful experiences together? Lunga explained it nicely on Instagram a while ago. In a message dedicated to Lorraine, he wrote: “I Love This! I Love Us! And I Love You! We create memories that will last forever, I’m not stopping until God says so.”

Although we’re not sure about how long these two have been romantically linked, we don’t doubt that they will be together for a long time. They’re unashamedly, loudly and proudly in love with each other and we love every minute of it. They make sure that the world knows just how serious they are about each other. “Won’t lie, the warmth of your love cuts deep. I choose you every day.”
Now we’re all looking forward to the big day. Do you think that it will be a star-studded affair? It would be so great to see actors from both The River and Housekeepers at the wedding. While we wait for the big day to come, we’ll just have to keep up with Lunga and Lorraine right here on Showmax. You can catch Housekeepers, express from the Mzansi Magic broadcast, while The River airs 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
