The Queen: Can the Khoza family trust Noma Matshikiza?
SAFTA-winning actress and Emmy nominee Brenda Ngxoli recently made her debut on hit telenovela The Queen. She joins new cast members such as the likes of Rapulana Seiphemo, Kenneth Nkosi, Jessica Nkosi and Ntando Duma.
The role marks Brenda’s second working collaboration with Ferguson Films. In previous years, she played the role of troubled alcoholic Gladys on Rockville S1-4.
Meet Noma Matshikiza
Brenda plays the role of Noma, Harriet Khoza’s associate and former best friend. A couple of years ago, Noma needed financial assistance for a project she was working on with her husband. Harriet and Mzi lent the couple R10 million, which they never paid back. To make matters worse, Noma and her husband then disappeared off the face of the Earth without reimbursing the Khoza family.
Life isn’t treating Noma with kindness, forcing her to grovel her way back into Harriet’s life.
Forgiveness
Harriet forgives Noma and allows her to stay as long as she wants while she finds her feet again. Harriet believes that everyone deserves a second chance, but Brutus thinks otherwise. Brutus can’t stand the sight of Noma and would prefer her dead than alive. He’s obviously still angry about Noma’s betrayal and believes she deserves punishment if she doesn’t pay back the money.
The question is – did Harriet make the right choice in allowing Noma back into their lives? Is she really remorseful for what she did or is this another ploy to get more money out of the Khoza family? Only time will tell.
Will Noma be loyal through it all?
With the Khoza empire getting back on its feet and making new ties, Noma seems to be settling in well at the Khoza mansion.
For now, the Khozas and Sebatas seem to be getting along like a house on fire. However, with a rivalry brewing between the two families, it should be interesting to see where her loyalty will lie especially when the Khozas find out that it was Colonel Hector who was behind Kea’s death.
