The River: Charlie pays for Tumi’s sins
Will Tumi and Lindiwe ever stop playing mind games? It really doesn’t seem that way. Tumi is proving that she really her mother’s daughter after surviving death once again. She’s now a step ahead of Lindiwe and is waiting for the right time to strike. If you’re wondering how Tumi survived the river incident, we’ll fill you in.
So, a few moments after Lindiwe and Zolani threw Tumi into the river, Lindiwe received a call from Charlie. He told her that he’s the one responsible for Mbali’s accident and that he didn’t mean to do it. Charlie’s involvement in the plan is all thanks to Mabutho, who got him to confess to a crime that he didn’t commit in order to space Tumi’s life.
Tumi fools Lindiwe
The unexpected confession left Mrs Dlamini-Dikana in a state of panic and she was forced to call for help. Paramedics arrived and Tumi was rushed to the hospital. Things got very interesting at this point because Lindiwe was worried about Tumi revealing to the world what she and Zolani had done. She made up a story about the events that led to Tumi’s “accident” and her family believed her.
The mining mogul then made her way to the hospital to check on her daughter’s progress, and to see if she remembers anything. But it turns out, Tumi is one step ahead of her dear mother. She told everyone that she has no recollection of what happened, which left Lindiwe relieved. However, Tumi remembers everything and is waiting for the right moment to use the information against her mother.
Lindiwe makes Charlie pay
Meanwhile, Lindiwe has been working hard to track Charlie’s whereabouts. She got Tshabalala bring him to her. When she finally came face-to-face with Charlie, Lindiwe told him about the pain of losing her youngest child.
“The love I had for her changed me. It gave me a new purpose. I had dreams for her, I still do. But thanks to you, they’ll never come true. You cut my child’s life short. She didn’t even blossom.”
She then asked him to give her a reason why his life should be spared. Just as he was trying to explain himself, Lindiwe fired a shot.
Now that she’s shot Charlie, Will Lindiwe finally put this Mbali situation to rest? Tune into The River right here on Showmax. New episodes air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
